In 2019 PAREIDOLIE will present in Marseille its 6th edition dedicated to contemporary drawing in all its forms.

While keeping its intimate format which favors the meeting, the availability and the proximity between gallery owners, collectors and artists PAREIDOLIE evolves.

After the 2018 edition marked by our move and our geographic rapprochement with our colleagues from Art-O-rama and Polyptyque, we will be back this year at the Château de Servières in a renewed layout but also over a longer time. Indeed the show will open on Friday with an extract in the morning (press & collectors) followed by the public opening.

The participating Galleries selection carried out this year under the chairmanship of Mr. Jean de Loisy, director of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris retained fourteen French and European galleries, alongside two Cartes Blanches, by an artist guest and video space.

Our partnerships with the FRAC and the Museums of Marseille continue around two artists: Samuel Rousseau at the Musée des Docks romains and Nicolas Daubanes at the FRAC Provence-Alpes-Côte d´Azur. Finally, PAREIDOLIE will continue throughout the fall with the SEASON OF DRAWING, cycle of exhibitions devoted to this medium in around twenty partner places in Marseille and in the region: Videochroniques, Musée des Docks Romains, Galerie porte Avion, WHERE, exhibition space for contemporary art, Look & Listen, Galerie Territoires Partagés, FRAC Provence-Alpes-Côtes d’azur, Atelier Cadratem, Château de Servières, Musée Estrine (St Rémy de Pce), Inter-municipal art library (Miramas), Center for Fine Arts Fernand Léger (Port de bouc), Let’s see Contemporary art and territory, ARTEUM, Museum of contemporary art (Châteauneuf le Rouge), Galerie Jean Louis Ramand (Aix en Pce), Center for Inter-communal Art (Istres), Vendôme Pavilion (Aix en Pce), Contemporary Art Center Les Pénitents noirs (Aubagne)
